White waves spreading across the blue seas of Okinawa

OLD meets NEW.

The power to set sail into the wider world.

The sea never easily yields.Tides and winds
do not bend to our convenience.
That is why we, the people, must be the ones to adapt. We learn, pass down tradition, and set our sights on the next destination. The resilience of dedicated hard work, forged at sea.The courage to trust in others, essential for the future. When these two qualities unite,
tradition takes on a bold new form: challenge.
OLD meets NEW.From this island, we set sail into the world.Sanko looks ahead to the next ocean.

At Sanko, centered around food and people, we have always lived in harmony with the sea.

Catching, purchasing, processing, selling, and bringing people together. How Sanko connects every step.

The beginning of Sanko Co., Ltd. (a merger of the former Sanko Suisan and Sanko Bussan)
traces back to
a shipyard in Kochi Prefecture and its Okinawa sales office.
Driven by the straightforward desire to
"bring the delicious flavor of fresh wild tuna to even more people across Japan,"
we gradually took every step—from fishing and purchasing
to processing and sales—
into our own hands.
We are a "food" company, and at the same time, we are a "people" company.
With Okinawa Prefecture's largest fleet of privately-owned tuna fishing vessels
and a multinational team
that includes around 60 members from Indonesia,
we also serve as a Registered Support Organization
for the Specified Skilled Worker program.
In this role, we support both the work
and daily lives of our colleagues who have journeyed across the sea.
Protecting local dining tables.
Welcoming teammates from distant shores.
Holding these two vital missions close at heart,
Sanko is building a brighter future for both the sea and people
right here from this island.
